Work-based Vocational Training (3+1) in the Department of Banking and Insurance Program

As part of the transformation initiative led by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), the Workplace Professional Training model aims to enable associate degree students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical skills in real workplace environments, acquire the competencies required by the industry, and integrate into professional life before graduation.

This model, which institutionalizes university–industry collaboration, seeks to shorten graduates' job search period, facilitate their transition into the labor market, and strengthen the alignment between academic education and industry expectations.

Accordingly, the Workplace Professional Training model will be implemented in the Department of Banking and Insurance Program starting with students enrolling in the first year of the 2026–2027 Academic Year. These students will spend one academic semester continuing their education in partner companies, gaining hands-on experience in real workplace environments.
